I wasn't looking at her hair (since when are anime shows ever concerned with getting hair color accurate, anyway?).  I was instead focusing on her name, which is definitely not Spanish.  But it could either be the result of a move on the part of one or more of her ancestors, or it could be because the Japanese writers aren't as familiar with Western names as a westerner would be.

 

Regardless of the specific reason, it struck me as a little odd.

Ehh... yeah everyone's ancestors immigrated from Africa, what's your
point? There are plenty of blondes in Spain. Heck, there are
indigenous white peoples in Western China.
