I thought it's pretty obvious from the start that Marina's nation is almost like fourth world status, given only AEU's countries are the only one even paying attention to her. Maybe it's just me, but until it is a known meeting about something (meaning something gets done), I doubt anyone important countries are going to met Marina, given she has not even retain the right to her own country. > > Ep.8 reinforced the fact that Marina has absolutely no power to affect > the government that's nominally hers. It's not hers yet - they call her princess, which suggest there is a king or a queen of some sort, so she might not be the top of the "food chain." Without any information, it might as well be her own family is one of the sides, and they don't view her as important. > > Ok... she's afraid there's a plot on her life, so at least she thinks > of herself as important enough to be killed. Not really - she just think Setsuna might be "sadden" enough by the war that he will kill anyone that is "involved" with the country, like Marina. > > Her only source of information and point of contact remains in the > person of Shirin. Did we ever given information on the ruling structure and Marina's official title? From what I have seen, it is pretty abstract on what Marina's official title is, and how she come about. Having access to political information does not guarantee they have pull - they just need to know the right people to get access to the information. Marina doesn't seem to be the type to actually care about the stuff, while Shirin definitely is. > > She was made a Queen precisely because she's seen to be irrelevant and > inconsequential. Everyone call her princess so I don't think her title is queen. -------------------------------------------------- The Gundam Mailing List MK-II [email protected] Archives: http://www.gundam.com/gml Help: Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with this in the BODY: help list
