How nice, the UN only begins this "encouragement" after waiting patiently 300 years for the Big 3 (or 2 1/2) to get all set and comfy with solar power and then doesn't even pretend to be concerned about the war/suffering caused by oil ban. OTOH, in the G00 world, there's no question that Arabs and Africans are the Inferior race. (South Americans and South Asians getting official Supporting Race status.) At best, the Arabs are innocent losers, kind-hearted (Marina) and/or principled (Rassa) deserving of sympathy and pity but not respect. At worst, fanatics, murderers and terrorists. > support that ban, as that means that the nations that relied on fossil fuels > are forced to turn to the super powers for their source of energy. Aha... how convenient! > matter how good they are in the cockpit. As an aside, I am not impressed with the 4 GM's yet. They have been overwhelmingly reliant on their equipment. If the 4 GM's have to match 1-on-1 against Soma, Sergei, Graham or Ali in comparable hardware, I will bet against the GM's 100%. I'd say the GM's are probably about as good as Ming and Graham's wingmen. > ... > Graham already knows who the Union sent, since he's on the team. > ... Very long winded way to say Setsuna sucks. Now Graham, Marina and Ali all know that Exia's pilot is a Kurdish boy. Oh... didn't Marina yell out Setsuna's name on live global broadcast? It's a big PR win for CB, but someone forgets now anyone can use Yellow Page(TM) to track down Exia's pilot's residential address in Japan. > Two of the goals were accomplished (the end of the episode states that the > fighting continued even after the joint statement). I'd say one and a half. If Rassa died then the civil war would be full-blown and out of control. Now with Union/CB intervention, it's just returned to the pre-kidnapping level of continuing unrest. > What we still don't > know is who put Ali up to it, AEU, via PMC. > and what was to happen to the conservative > leader? He keeps talking. Barely able to keep a lid on the more violent fragments of his fraction. Meanwhile Marina also keeps talking, barely able to keep a lid on the more violent fragments of her fraction. > And why was destroying the solar facility so important? Because if the solar project were successful, it will start to bring hmm let's not say "prosperity" let's just say "subsistence" and therefore Reformist will gain the upper hand and soon there would be peace. If that spreads to the other Middle East nations, then Union and UN will get a foothold smack in the common backyard of AEU and HRL. -- Dr. Core -------------------------------------------------- The Gundam Mailing List MK-II [email protected] Archives: http://www.gundam.com/gml Help: Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with this in the BODY: help list
