I don't know what the best course is, but I've been very happy with the new
wave of contributors, visibility and promotions.  This direction you are
describing is what I consider the new age renaissance period of LMMS and
it's sort of the catalyst for stuff like kickstarter campaigns.  Usually it
requires a lead person (like Julie Uhrman/Ouya, Aaron Dunn/Musopen) stepping
into a full time role to manage the tasks and/or organization.
