Hi All,

Let's summarize some things, because some mails were offlist and some were
onlist.

1. Jigal encountered some help files that were very poorly translated.
2. I sent a mail to the localization list with a question how to handle these
pages.
3. I also sent a mail to Rafaella and Nicole in which I asked them what
happened.
4. Jigal says we (community) can put the pages it concerns into the review
sheets, because that way the help is probably finished faster.
5. Rafaella explained that a part of the help files was migrated from OOo 1.x
help, a part was translated by the community and a part was translated by
alpha. Although this was a response to a question regarding the style guide, it
also gives an insight on this matter.
6. Nicole says that the page I referred to wasn't in the files that Alpha
translated.

Conclusion:
The poorly translated pages originate from OOo1.x. (Alpha didn't have it, and
the community only translated Writer pages, this specific page is about
formulas).

Since I thought that the migration from OOo1.x to OOo2 didn't succeed I didn't
think of this as a possibility. That's the reason why I sent the mail to
Rafaella and Nicole, because I thought something went wrong between Sun and
Alpha. Basically this brings up another conclusion, and that is that all the
confusion wasn't really necessary.

I think I'm gonna go with Jigal's idea to put page like that on the review
sheets.

Any comments/questions/.... are welcome.

Regards,

Bert
