Aw, you mean you're *serious*? First time I read this, I thought it was a brilliant spoof of the kind of abstraction-layer-for-something-else-that-won't-do-quite-everything-the-underlying-one-does, of which a hundred dead instances lie motionless in CPAN's catacombs. :) Enough of that sort of thing and, as one of my ex-coworkers did, you start to use the words "abstract" and "obscure" interchangably.
