The did this back in the 1908s? I think these lutes were made by Ian Harwood and John Issacs. I am not sure of all the reasons why they are not still around. Nancy
I wonder if you could relatively inexpensively construct a lute (the bowl, at minimum) from carbon fiber (like some acoustic guitars) or molded plastic (like an Ovation guitar), and what it would sound like?
