Sure. Note that I do partially agree with the freeze.

But you are. If drastic measures are needed, then I expect that the first 
thing that is forbidden is new stuff that touches the core. And multiple 
views (although I agree it is nice to have) is such stuff.

If you look what I did during the last months you will see that most of it 
was bug fixing. Now I know that this was wrong and I should have done some 
other stuff instead.

I could not conclude that from the original announcement. And I remember 
well how hard I had to fight for some fixes during 1.4 freeze, and that 
some of them did not get in, so I doubt that these things would be 
allowed.

I would have liked to come, but I could not for private reasons, and I told 
you that.

You could have had a look at 1.4 issues indeed. I expect that many of them 
can be fixed in trunk and 1.4 in a very similar way.

No. But this announcement came too suddenly after a period where everything 
was allowed.
