works, but has a different problem: If you write a text a left column is
created in the dark area below the current write area. The cursor jumps
into that column and blinks there, but the text appears where it belongs.
Only after pressing enter everything is normal again.

This problem appears only in the line that is currently edited. You can go
into the previous line and edit it, then the problem appears in this line.

The cursor blinks always 46 characters left of the current writing position,
and it moves with the correct amount of space to the right when writing.
