I haven't used Maptitude with such a large polygon data base but, if it helps any, I
have worked with it using a point layer of  500,000+ points with absolutely no
problem.  Of course, point files are much easier with no topology considerations.  My
largest polygon layer project involved cleaning up the traffic zone geography for a
metropolitan area which involved about 600 polygons.  I did this on a 200 megahz PC
with 64 mg Ram.  With any such project where topological edits are being done, a
computer with large memory resources is a big plus.
