True, it is not self-evidently inevitable and it is not a miracle. Marx's relations/forces law was a hypothesis. A lot of the arguments about the origins of capitalism in Western Europe are debates, often covert, about whether the law is verified in this instance. For our time, study of the relations/forces dance in the twentieth century proves that capital accumulation has indeed hit its historical barrier.
