Yes, I'm back after a two year leave of absence. Now that I've added a cd-rw to
my hi fi setup I actually have a renewed interest in MD. I bought into MD to
move my vinyl collection over ... and did so for about 40 albums. But in the
back of my mind was the notion I'd rather take them to cd-r first (I do vinyl to
audio cd-rw then when satisfied with the Cool Edit 2000 results, if any, dup
that over to inexpensive no-name data cd-r's on the computer ... bye bye scsm
and audio cd-r tariff. Then to MD via CD spdif).

It looks like car MD units have not materialized in great quantities over that
time period. That's too bad ... I wanted one. Oh well.

But if the format dies that does present a problem from my view point.
Especially since today I replaced a dead 510 with a 940.

If it's only theoretical that does not move me into action.

Thanks.
