A DGAV sounds like a better idea. I've done the water hook up thing with a
DGAV and yes the way to do it is to tap into the manifold water return line.
The water choke actually work very well, IMHO much better and easier to
adjust than electric but I'd try Georges idea first as it sounds pretty easy
to do and you don't break anything so if you're not happy with the results
you can always put everything back and revert to plan B.

It turned out it was too big ie. adapter plate + carb + air filter would
be
too hight to fit under the bonnet so I am hoping to get a 32/36 DGAV
from a cortina ($50 not quite as good as yesterdays bargain but I sold
the other weber to some guy for his bommodore so nothing lost )
tomorow, prolly be more suitable and will fit from what you have said.
Might try what George said to remove the water choke or else should not
be too much of a problem to hook up anyway. I thought i could use the
return from the heated manifold, would that be ok do you think?
