It is not that the box stops slop, it is that after a while all steering boxes get a bit vauge around the straight ahead position. You can adjust them using the adjustment screw. But after that doesn't help anymore then you need to recondition it or replace it with a box that has less slop. I could have replaced it with a new 1600 one but I am not The only boxes that bolt into the 1600 are 1600, 180B and 120Y (I'm not sure which 6cyls fit). The 200B does not fit and the after that they used racks not boxes.
