Richard if you have a pic of a L18 with a factory 219 head I'd love to see it.
L16 and L18 Twin carbs uptill about 3/1973 are the same,The later ones are what you say but the best part is take of the smog crap make some block off plates and they are the same as early anyway and are probley in better nick as they are newer. early have orange air box's later are blue right uptill 910 Bluebird.
