If it snapped at the head you will probably have to take the head off to get at the remaining part of the fitting to drill it out and plug the hole. It must be corroded to the head if you snapped it. Perhaps you can try levering it inwards at one point, by driving a small screw driver behind it, then retapping the hole. I usually check this fitting is moveable any time I remove a head or the heater hose.
