Do you know what compression ratio your motor is running ? In my old 2.4 in my 180B it had 11.7 to 1 compression and it used to do the same thing. What it is, is that it has nothing to do with spark plugs , but compression and excess fuel allowing it to "run on" like a diesel, as a diesel ignites fuel by compression not spark and this is what it is doing. It would also be alot worse in warm weather. Now basically you either have to reduce compression by either changing pistons, modifying combustion chambers or the cheaper option a thicker headgasket. In warm weather if your compression is above 10 to 1 you MAY encounter this problem. Temporaliy you can stall stop your car although this is a pain in the arse and isn't the kindest to clutches.

Sorry to bombard you with stroker motors but..............
Im still having timing problems with it. THe timing is now on 10 degrees BTDC and the car runs fine, the cam works well as a 30/70 cam should, but when i come to turn it of, she refuses to die quietly. If i dont stall it then it will virtually run for ever.
Now ive swapped the plugs from BP6ES's to BP7ES and that has made it a little smooter through out the rev range but it hasnt altered the running on problem. Now im tempted to use BP8ES's to see what that will do coz the 7's didnt affet the driveablilty of it, so the 8's may be the way to go.
Im after any one with a warm/stroker L20 that has run into this sort of problem, any idea's?? Every thing else on the motor is either new (pistons rings etc etc) or recon'ed (head etc etc)
Something has got to be keeping the spark going but im just unsure as to what! any one please help me!
