Can someone remind me what sort of lube we're supposed to use in door lock cylinders? The battery died in my S420's key this weekend so I've been securing the car the old fashioned way. This was fine until I used the trunk lock, possibly the first time it has ever been used. It worked just fine but would not surrender the key, leaving me stranded 20 miles from home. I pulled the entire mechanism (which is an amazing bit of plastic clockwork) from the car, played with it and finally pulled really hard and it came loose.
I guess the tumblers are stuck.
