Essentially true but there are others, like East Penn. However, these few manufacturers make a wide range of battery types based on specifications from the customer (brand-name retailer). Also, a given brand line (like Diehard) may be made by one manufacturer one year and a different one the next. Also, different battery sizes of the same brand may be made by different manufacturers.
