I always change fuel filters on a hot engine, it cranks better.

You must bleed the PUMP to get an instant start -- bleed the FILTER as described, then pump at least 50 more strokes on the hand pump, until you can hear fuel, not air, singing through the relief valve (or restriction) on the return line from the IP.

Takes forever if you don't full the fuel filter with clean fuel before installing.

Keep cranking (with rests to you don't fry the starter), it'll start eventually.
