I may be wrong here, but doesn't the klima relay only control the function of the AC compressor? That is, it has nothing to do with the control of the heater valve, fan speed, etc. The push button unit does this.
Your problem is that is going between heating and cooling erratically, right? That is, its opening the monovalve when you don't expect it, for example. Therefore, I'd look harder at the push button unit and its inputs. Go over the trouble shooting in the service manual. Check all the sensors. You might have an intermittent problem, making it much harder to track down. If my input is a repeat or I missed something, sorry about that... I haven't followed the whole thread.
