Possibly at one point you were correct, at this point I would think I have a caliper problem. I don't know how long its been stuck but I'd hazard a guess that its been many months...
Regardless I intend to do the full Monty for the rear brakes, calipers, pads, rotors. I'd like to do ceramic pads if they're available. Q got me some for the front that are nice, no squeaks, squeals or dust. -Curt Date: Mon, 08 Apr 2013 16:24:50 -0400 From: Max Dillon <meadedil...@bellsouth.net> To: Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Subject: Re: [MBZ] Rear brake calipers Message-ID: <a38a477e-4723-432d-9c68-f129f26f9...@email.android.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Sounds like you may have a plugged rubber hose, not a caliper problem. -- Max Dillon Charleston SC '95 E300, '87 300TD, '73 Balboa 20 Curt Raymond <curtlud...@yahoo.com> wrote: >Please excuse the on-topic talk for a minute :) > >The rear driver's side caliper on my '84 190D has quit doing anything >so today when I was at CarQuest I inquired the price on replacements. >He says we need to know if the "Inspection hole is 1 5/8" or 1 1/2"" >the picture provided in the computer is no help and we were both left >scratching our heads. > >New Q has some calipers that note "With 1 1/2" inspection hole" and >some that are "not for ASR". > >I'm guessing this difference refers to the mount and I'll have to >measure something on the car, anybody got any ideas? > >-Curt > >_______________________________________ >http://www.okiebenz.com >For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com >To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ > >To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: >http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
