Mercedes makes cars that do reach the limits of their components lifetimes. They also remain worth keeping on the road past those components. There are many cars I see at the PnP that have single component failures and that sends them to the knacker. The benz I find have multiple failures that cumulatively doom the cars. AC failure, rust, windows, then the trans fails, the power steering goes, or water pump.
