The kind of gym you go to makes a huge difference. The place I go is whole
body training, small classes, which is why its able to still be open. There
were 6 of us tonight. We do 10 different exercises for 45 seconds each and go
through 3 times. You'd think 45 seconds isn't very long but one of the
exercises tonight was a bird-dog plank. Think of setting up to do a push up,
then lift one arm straight out past your head, at the same time lift the
opposite leg. 45 seconds of that is plenty. Today we used medicine balls, I've
adopted the 15# "boulder". There are a few of us who are a little competitive
about the weight...
The place I go is expensive, I think I'm paying around $1500 a year which is
definitely something I think of if I'm considering skipping a class.
We've been back at it since July and I bet I haven't missed a dozen classes...

I think it depends on which news source you go by.

When I was out of town last week I hit the treadmill every night at the hotel.
I did a mile jog each night trying to work up to 2 miles etc. we have a really
nice treadmill at the house but I can’t seem to get the wife to move all the
cloths she has piled up on it and she tells me not to touch it. We also have a
gym membership we have been paying for because last year she decided she wanted
to start working out. I don’t think she has been to the gym in a year and keeps
insisting next week she will go. In the mean time we still get dinged every
month. She says I can go over there rather than using our treadmill at home. I
don’t want to spend 30 minutes driving there and 30 minutes back to do a 15-20
workout on the treadmill.
