Part of my reluctance is my basic stance againt buying special purpose "gadgets."
This goes especially for the kitchen, but also the shop. Such items tend to sit in the cupboard or on the shelf, taking up space, getting slowly pushed to the back, and rarely used. Of course there are exceptions.
