My SIL was the highest earning VW salesman in New England a few years ago. His customer's loved him, sent him Christmas cards!
He told me that selling a late model used car was better than 2 new cars. Much more margin and wiggle room. Cravat; He would not "show" about 10% on the cars on the lot.
