Its not so bad. Since I got the carbon blown out of my poor old 300D is moves along quite nicely without my feeling like I am abusing it. We went to my brother in law's yesterday about 30 miles away with 4 of us in the car and ran along at 75 mph much of the way. Wouldn't have gone any faster if I had a turbo and should not have been going that fast as it would be enough over the limit to get a pretty big ticket.

How do you know? Cheapest "solution" or cheapest diagnosis? There's no way I would drive a nonaspirated diesel ever again!
