I have a different thought on that. Run DBAN or shred on the disk before you return it, and tell them you had confidential data that you didn't dare send along with the system. If they complain, accuse them of *wanting* your data on the disk because they wanted to steal it <g>. Ir just say Windows trashed your drive (I've seen it happen).
