The great and mystical god Kuckuck, after intense guru meditation, has revealed to me
in an epiphany from another mailing list that the GVP Serial Prefs has a bug that
makes it not work on OS 3.5. Has to do with its not wanting to work in any screenmode
except a video (ie not VGA) mode in 8 colors. Nothing we can do about it unless gvp
gets off its li'l behind and reprograms the thing. ;-)

Then I started Miami-Init with the internal serial port of the Amiga and oh wonder,

*slapping forehead* d'oh d'oh D'OH! I totally forgot about GVP Serial Prefs. Selecting
the Amiga serial port in Miami Init would indeed result in the calls being re-directed
to the GVP Serial port on the G-force, probably successfully too just as you
experienced. I can't check now but when I get home from work i will try this and
report my findings to this list for the record. Sadly, I have already invested in a
secondhand full version of Genesis. (from someone who had legally bought it and sold
the original disks to me, folks, no piracy here!) :( Drat! Coulda saved meself $50.00!

Thanks again, Andreas, for running those tests and helping me figure that out ;-)
