Odd.  I'm using the latest version of MiamiDx (so far as I'm aware - I'm
sure I have installed whatever I downloaded some time back, and not
forgotten to do so), and I haven't had any such disasters.

Of course, I'm only using it with the serial port, but then if you've not
even got it to run, you're not up to the stage of being concerned whether
it's your LAN NIC driver that's at fault.

You have downloaded all the files that are needed for MiamiDx?  And
checked that you're not suffering from MUI version problems?  Or even a
problem with the LhA un-archiver?  (I seem to recall stories about it
stuffing up some files, on versions with year 2000 problems.)
