If you must post a test message, please make it a short one, rather than
reply to a large message from here. Perhaps you could give us a short
list of which messages you think haven't made it (subject lines, and a
brief snippet from the message text).
If you find that your posts don't make it to other lists as well as this
one, please join the YAM mailing list, to go into using YAM in more detail.
Post a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to join it.

Some things to do when posts don't make it through to a mailing list:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Check that your mail client has formed a message properly (save a message,
and look at its source code, comparing it with another that has worked).
In YAM, you can do this by pressing the "display" button (in the message
reader), and choosing "raw format."
Check that your system, and your ISPs mail servers are running fine:
Post test messages to your own address.
Check your ISP for bulletins.
Ask other users on your ISP if there's any current problems
(many ISPs have their own support news groups, have a search
for your ISPs domain name in the list of groups on their server).
Check that your ISP doesn't have unusual requirements to interact with
their servers (I notice that you use Road Runner, I believe, looking at
your servers information in your mail headers (austin.rr.com), they
seem to do things in a few odd ways).
Check that you haven't got any filtering errors on your mail client
that are misfiling or deleting incoming messages.
Look for upgrades to your software (there's now a newer version of YAM
than the one you're using, by the way).
Check the address you're posting to very carefully; check that you haven't
typed a similar looking character (e.g. Il1| and 0O all look similar on
some fonts, but they're all different characters), or that you haven't
accidentally got a space somewhere in the address.
Add the mailing lists address to your address book, once you're sure it's
correct, and post new messages using the entry from there, rather than
hand type the address, each time.
Many lists only allow subscribers to post, so if you post from two
different addresses (e.g. home and work), you may need to subscribe using
both addresses, or change your "from" address to match the address you
subscribed with.
Some lists will silently kill certain posts (exact duplicates, empty
messages, messages with attachments, messages containing certain words,
cross-posted messages, anything that might be considered annoying).
Avoid starting paragraphs with the word "from," as it's the delimiter
between individual messages in a mail spool file of several messages
(that's how many programs work, concatenating messages into a spool, and
processing the lot), and certain mail systems aren't too clever at
distinguishing between a paragraph beginning that way, and a new message
(hence why my reply intro uses the word "by:" instead of "from:").
That's all I can think of right now. If you want, forward one of your
failed messages directly to my address (*), and I'll see if I can notice
anything wrong with it.
* Attaching the actual file of the message would be better than just
forwarding it. Look through your /sent/ folder, find the filename for
that particular message (it'll be something like a numerical filename with
five numbers dot three numbers), and attach that file to a new message.
If you want to be absolutely sure that it doesn't get mangled in transit,
use the pack and add option in YAM (it'll LhA a copy of the file, and send
the LhA archive instead).
