It's not a DDoS. Computers are almighty today, if they can't be pushed to do their freakin' work they may as well be sniffing your packets all day long right? If RADIUS is too slow, start caching, memory is cheap. There is a lot of solutions and technical solutions around this. And it's this service that people pay for anyhow.
