I'm sitting here looking at the Feb, 1991 issue of R&T (The one I'm supposed to be scanning in for you guys, heh!) at the comparison between the GTI 2.0L 16v, the Nissan NX2000, and the honda CRX si. According to their gear charts, the 2 litre will do 122MPH at 6300RPM. This is with a .91 5th gear (My '88 has a .89), and a 3.67 final drive (standard). Our 1.8's, with the extra 1000RPM to play with, should top out a little higher (horsepower willing, of course!).
