I'll try hooking the scanner to the laptop, but I'm telling you in
advance, just don't think it will work directly. You will need to
modify the input circuit of the unit, so the rpm triggers. To do that,
you will need to play with both the resistance and condenser values. So
you will need to know a bit about elctronics. Unmodified, it WON'T
work. math

Maybe you could scan the schematic? Having adjustable resistance at WOT
and
any rpm is easy enough. I already have that although the pot I have is
very
inaccurate and changes value with vibration. What I am really
interested
in is the RPM sensing circuit.

I have the schematic printed from a while ago. I try and built a few of
them and was never able to get them to work. What I didn't know at that
time is that our Bosch ignition system is very noisy. I realized that
after installing aftermarket EFI system, and did have a lot of problem
to get the rpm signal clear without noise. Had to use extra condenser,
diodes, ... But what I did before for fuel enrichment device, is just
add a relay wires to the WOT switch. Itjust changed the coolant value
when the relay was activated, could be easy adjustable if you want.

This would be awesome if there was a schematic.

This device is similar to the one I made but he lists the connections
wrong on the relay. The resistor should go from pin 30 to 87a.
