Regarding what Anton mentioned, the idea of having a Student's Distro would be great. I've read somewhere once that a tool exists that easily repackages a custom version of Ubuntu. Something like that could be great as it would combine the convenience of having a distro ready to install with all the "complicated" compilers and interpreters and IDEs preinstalled (perhaps it could even be a live cd) together with something that can help encourage students to use OSS software.
I think having a CD like that would be something great for ICTSA to give out during Freshers week at Uni. Pass by the stand and get your fee copy of Ubuntu with all the software you will need for your assignments preinstalled. I believe your are involved with ICTSA right Gianluca? Oh and btw, has anybody been keeping note of the ideas that have been mentioned over the past few days?
