Right now mp2 is supposed to autodetect a prior mp1 install and adjust accordingly. I don't know how parallel installations could be made any easier. The Apache2 thingy works well IMO, it just seems that some folks aren't familiar with it. Randal's complaints about mucking with the doc toolchain are all addressable within the current framework. The basic idea is that if you're using both mp1 and mp2, perldoc doesn't see the mp2 docs unless you supply the Apache2:: prefix. I'm not sure about how the manpages are installed yet, but I think we could do the same thing for those if it's needed. The real significant issue to address, IMO, has to do with CPAN's indexing of the Apache:: modules common to both mp1 and mp2 core distros, because those packages set the underlying apache[12] architecture. That issue is being debated in a few different forums, but I think the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list is the best place for it. -- Joe Schaefer -- Report problems: http://perl.apache.org/bugs/ Mail list info: http://perl.apache.org/maillist/modperl.html List etiquette: http://perl.apache.org/maillist/email-etiquette.html
