Nancy Boyles also has a great book, "Great Answers". She goes through each of 
the strands on our CT CMT and offers books based on those strands.

Check out A Field Guide to the Classroom Library C (for grades 1 and 2) by Lucy
Calkins, published by Heinemann.  I think it's just what you're looking
for.
