We are just beginning to purchase a bookroom. We have mostly class sets of novels at this time. We are working to convince middle school teachers about the benefits of shared and guided reading. I do agree with Lori in the benefits of surrounding students with a wealth of literature at a variety of levels. Some of our LA classes have no literature, except their LA textbooks. Ugh...
