This is exactly the reason that I (as someone who's never learnt any Latin)
would apply sentence case. The Romance languages we have capitalisation
standards for (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian) are all
sentence case so it seems strange to use something else when there's no
official body governing Latin saying otherwise.
