The easiest way to do these tests is to use the throughput test in mvpmc's menus, which I described in my previous post. The MediaMVP is not very powerful, it has fairly small buffers, the NIC on it isn't very good, etc. These together combine to give much worse results than on a desktop PC. A throughput in the region of 12Mbits/s on a normal wired ethernet connection is about the max of mvpmc on the MediaMVP (certainly over NFS only).
