Many IDE RAID cards have a setting called gigabyte-boundry. What this means is that it rounds down the capacity of the drive to the next gigabyte. A 120.3 gig drive becomes a 120 gig drive. This means that if you replace the drive with a different make/model (say a 120.5 gig drive, which will be rounded down 120 gig). The drives must be exactly the the same size.
You need to turn that gigabyte boundry on unless you have a large stock of the same make/model drives.
