Really? Could you point it out? In the installing chapter, it only says mysql-max gives "additional capabilites" without enumerating them. I didn't see anything the InnoDB section saying that mysql-max was necessary but I didn't read every single word so I could have missed it....


as far as upgrades on your platform, thats now out of my league. I don't
think I'm qualified to give you an answer.
