I work out of my house too and run into kind of the same problem-i felt that once i moved to my house that i should have lowered my prices because i didnt have the overhead however surprisingly i did not and the same people still come. I charge 25 for fills and 35 to 40 for full sets. I dont charge anything for repairs or for soakoffs and i should. I do colored acrylic on a few and should charge more for that too but dont. I have some two week clients and some 3 week clients but i know the 3 weekers do it because they cant afford to come every two weeks. One of them needs too because she always has repairs but i really like her so i deal with it.

I now just lost my parttime job so i am comtemplating do more nails and i feel my prices are high enough so we will see what happens. The problem when you are in your home is you dont have the exposure. Kelly how do you get exposure or is it just word of mouth?

Rhonda is 100% right Kelley!! Charge her for a full set at least considering how much work and product is involved!! You may work out of a "small" area of your home, but like Rhonda said, you are a professional providing a professional service!!

The general rule of thumb is your fill price should be 50% of your full set price. Your backfill should be $5-10 more than your fill price. There should be a 2 week fill price, three week fill price that is $5 more and anything over that is a full set.

Think about it, it takes twice the product to do a full set, therefore it should cost twice as much as a fill. If you are doing a 3 week fill, you are using more than a 2 week fill so it should be more. A backfill is more product and more work than a fill so it should be more.

I think a lot of you gals that work out of your home feel bad charging what you are worth. You shouldn't. You are a professional and you are providing a professional service.

Take control Kelley, the new year is a great time to start fresh!

That is crazy! I would add "Rebalance 4+ weeks" to your price list. Since you have to take off the old stuff and reapply a new set. (I charge the same for a removal as I do a fill.) Based on your prices...would charge at least $40 for a Rebalance. Also, I would raise the price of a full set if that is possible. I charge double the price of my fill for a full set.

Ok gals

I'm tired of clients who come every 6/7 weeks with at least 3 breaks
and expect to pay my reg fill price.
how do you handle this?

I am not expensive to begin with my 2 week fill is 22 and a 3 week
fill is 25. I have always done free repairs when you come every two
weeks ( and rarely have to do any).

If I go by my price list her fill will be 25 and each repair 2 bucks
so if she has 3 repairs that is 31 and my full Sets are 30.

need advice if you have any

I am posting a new price list this week for next year. and will be
adhering to it strickly.

Kelley Marie
