yea that happened to me too...
had to start my win98 and run 'fdisk /mbr' or was it 'format /mbr' ?  what i
was told is that this will fix your Master Boot Record. then i just loged on
as root, started x and ran linuxconf [sp?] ( seems part of gnome, but i dont
dont ) and saw that i could reinstall lilo and such so i did. althought i
did see that lilo was confused because i have 2 vfat's '/dev/hda1' and
'/dev/hdb1' and it was labling them the same... so maybe that could be the
problem?
