WindowMaker - ok - nah - there ain't no desktop links in WindowMaker - there's dock icons and running icons, but no links...but in essence if supermount/automount are working correctly, opening up a term and typing "mount" will show all the active mounts...but in being that the device is a USB cdrom device, have you checked in your /dev directory for any sym-links to cdrom devices or scd* devices?
