I totally agree - but the way to improve that problem is to encourage cropping of quotes. Sometimes we get two or even three screens of quotes to 2 lines of new material. That seriously does harm bandwidth and mailbox space. My main gripe is that 22 people have thought this harmless banter, keeping the messages very short.
