Has this same problem with my camera until I realized that it wasn't /dev/sda. When I tried mounting /dev/sda it would give me the same error you got. Try mounting /dev/sda1. Thiis cleared up everything, mount even detected the filesystem type automagically. BR, -- Eduardo Silva
