You paid for a product and you received a product. That's how
transactions work. I bought a car two years ago. That doesn't mean
Toyota owes me a new car every year when the new models come out. Even
if I test drive them every year!

Yes, it means something and you will get something.

But the Linux community does not participate in beta testing on a
contract. Nobody _owes_ you anything for beta testing. (Please furnish a
contract if I'm wrong.) Contributing to the community is nothing more
than a concept: you contribute, and eventually the fruits of your labor
are given back to the community.

And that's exactly what will happen. You will reap the benefit from your
work and the work of others when the ISOs go public. It may take a
couple of weeks, but it will come and it will be free.

If the Club were simply a distribution channel for Mandrake ISOs, then
you'd be correct. But it's not so this complaint is a non-issue.

I hope you wait for the boxed set and remain part of the Mandrake
community. But if you really think MandrakeSoft is depriving you of
what's yours, then maybe you should consider exercising your "freedom of
choice".
