I use the graphical login and from the Session menu I can select which
window starts.
   From the console you can start GNOME by using Ctrl-Alt-F<n>. I think
Gnome is either 3 or 4 but don,t hold me to that.
   If you want to change which window manager the startx command launches to
a new default you can run xsetup.
