Well like I said, not expecting it to be smooth or quiet, but I would think it would catch at least. I'm waiting to put the exhaust back on until I know it doesn't need something else. If I have to pull the head back off I don't want to have to pull the exhaust again. If somebody has a reason not to start it with no exhaust I'm open to input. :-)
